Discover the hidden treasures of John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park in the Florida Keys! 🏴☠️ We were able to score an entire week here thanks to the sold out search feature of @arviecamping, which automatically snagged this reservation for us after another campers cancellation.
🦀 The RV sites at this campground come with some unexpected neighbors - stone crabs! These little friends love to hang out in holes scattered all around the campground, coming out every morning and afternoon to munch on mangrove leaves and other plants. We basically watched the crabs out our back window nonstop the entire week instead of watching TV. 📺🤣 Not joking, we cancelled all of our streaming services. 🚫
Beyond our crabby friends, we’ve had an amazing time paddle boarding through the mangrove trees, snorkeling off the beach, and visiting the aquarium. 🐠🐟 The kayak rentals and glass bottom boat tours are perfect for exploring the vibrant marine life and coral reefs. 🛶
The campground is super pet and family-friendly, perfect for Banana Pig and Mango Salsa to join the fun. 🏕️🐕
