Biweekly update 8/4

Here’s all the stuff we did from to 2024-07-22 - 2024-08-04.

Gamble Roger’s State Park

Our last stay in Florida was a week at Gamble Roger’s State Park. The beach there was incredible, so we did a lot of swimming. Although the waves did eat Lia’s prescription glasses, which was no good. She’s wearing her backup pair from an old prescription currently, until we can get new ones.

Skidaway Island State Park

We made it to Skidaway Island State Park in Savannah, Georgia. We scored 2 weeks here thanks to Arvie!

We got to spend all of one night and one day there, and the park seems amazing. But now…

Dodging hurricanes

We are running from the tropical storm that’s hitting Florida, and is supposed to make its way to Southeast Georgia tomorrow, right around where we were staying. We are at a harvest host a few hours away, where we will wait out the storm. We’ll see tomorrow if we need to head further north. We also had a fun adventure on the drive today.

Another flat tire

While we were running away from a hurricane today, we had a flat tire on our truck. So that’s nice! We’ll have to get that fixed tomorrow morning, and then potentially continue digging hurricanes.

Back to Skidaway

Once the storm has passed, we’ll head back to Skidaway Island State Park since our reservation is for two weeks.
