Biweekly update

Here’s everything we got up to from 2024-06-24 - 2024-07-07.

Boyd’s Key West Campground

Lia went to a 90 breathwork session. It was nice.

We did the dolphin watch and snorkeling tour with Fury in Key West.

We went to the Butterfly and Nature Conservancy in Key West. Trevor made friends with 3 butterflies.

We went to Fort Zachary Taylor.

Higgs Beach.

Stock Island

We got pizza from Roostica, and ate it at Cayo Hueso brewery.

We went to Hogfish brewery. The seating right on the water was great. We had a bocca burger, which wasn’t our favorite. At this point, we don’t love vegetarian burger patties that are trying that hard to imitate meat.

Sunshine Key

We’ve been at Sunshine Key for a week, mostly catching up on work and chilling out.

Lia attended a Zumba class yesterday.

We went paddle boarding and saw more than 50 conchs around the key.

We’ll be here at Sunshine Key another week.

House projects

We got loads of stuff we need to fix. The sink needs to be re-caulked. We need to replace the weather stripping around the exterior of the RV and re-caulk around the roof, and pretty much the entire exterior. We need to clean our air conditioner covers and coils, clean the external refrigerator cover, and about 50 other little things. So we’re also trying to start getting caught up on that, but it will be a long process. Good times!

What’s next?

After this week, we head to Peace River, and we’ll be going back to Legoland for a redo. After that it’s off to Crystal River Sun Retreats. We’re excited for one last experience at those springs. Although that area is not particularly dog friendly, which will be tricky to navigate. We’ll have to find dog sitters so we can go to King’s Bay and Three Sister Springs.

After Crystal River, we’ll be spending a week at Gamble Roger’s State Park, and then we’re out of Florida.
